Description

What is it

Vallarai (Centella asiatica) is a small creeping herb with round, fan-shaped leaves that grows along the edges of wet fields and ponds. In Ayurveda it is Mandukaparni, and in Sri Lanka and beyond, gotu kola.

Tamil tradition calls it a leaf for the mind, and Siddha and Ayurveda value it for focus and vitality. Our tea is made from the dried herb, packed in dip bags.

What Makes This Different

  • Leaf only. Made from vallarai leaf alone, nothing else.
  • Fresh and green. A soft, slightly grassy flavour.
  • Naturally caffeine-free. Pure herb, with no tea leaves, flavourings or sweeteners.

What It Does

  • A classical herb of Siddha and Ayurveda. Traditionally valued for focus and vitality.
  • A school-days tradition. Many Tamil grandmothers fed vallarai thuvaiyal to children before exams.

A Leaf for Exam Season

Ask around and you’ll find someone whose grandmother made vallarai chutney before every exam. FounditGood Vallarai Tea carries that tradition into an easy daily cup.
