What is it

Roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa) is a hibiscus grown for its fleshy, deep-red calyces, the cup of sepals that wraps the seed pod after the flower fades.

We cut and sift the dried calyces to an even size so they brew evenly in a teapot or infuser, giving a deep ruby cup with a bright tang.

How to Use It

To brew: Steep 1 teaspoon in a cup of freshly boiled water for 5 to 7 minutes, then strain. Add a little honey or palm jaggery if you like. Enjoy one cup a day.

Storage: Keep in an airtight container, away from heat, light and moisture.
