Description

What is it

Nilavembu (Andrographis paniculata) is a slender herb with small white-and-purple flowers, and it is famous for one thing above all: bitterness. Ayurveda calls it Kalmegh, and in English it is green chiretta, often nicknamed the ‘king of bitters’.

Siddha and Ayurveda have long valued nilavembu during the changing seasons and for digestive wellness. Our kashayam is made from the whole dried herb, packed in dip bags.

What Makes This Different

  • Whole plant only. Made from nilavembu whole plant alone, nothing else.
  • Truly bitter. We don’t mask it. The bitterness is the character tradition values.
  • Naturally caffeine-free. Pure herb, with no tea leaves, flavourings or sweeteners.

What It Does

  • A classical bitter of Siddha and Ayurveda. Traditionally valued for seasonal and digestive wellness.
  • Part of the season’s routine. A familiar cup in Tamil homes when the weather turns.

The King of Bitters

Few herbs are as instantly recognisable as nilavembu: one sip and you’ll never forget it. FounditGood Nilavembu Kashayam keeps that classical bitter simple and ready to brew.
