Vetiver (Chrysopogon zizanioides), vettiver in Tamil, khus in Hindi and Ushira in Sanskrit, is a tall grass prized for its roots, which carry a deep, earthy, cooling fragrance.

For generations, South Indian homes have dropped vetiver roots into earthen water pots and added them to bath powders, and the tradition values it for skin care in the hot months. Our powder is made from the roots alone.

How to Use It

Face pack: Mix 1 teaspoon with rose water or curd. Apply to clean skin, leave for 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse.

Bath blend: Add a spoonful to green gram flour or your bath powder.

Storage: Keep in an airtight container, away from heat, light and moisture. Use a dry spoon.

For external use. Do a patch test on your inner arm before first use and keep away from the eyes.
